Liver Scriptus (I hate auto-correct)

It is actually Liber Scriptus of Giuseppe Verdi's famous Requiem. Liber Scriptus is a fabulous aria for mezzo-soprano and chorus. Lake Tahoe's Toccata Orchestra and Choir will be performing much of Verdi's Requiem, which was described by NPR as "a conductor's dream come true. Few pieces in the repertoire offer the drama of opera and the thrill of wonderful symphonic writing combined with stellar, virtuosic solo moments. But Verdi's Requiem does all that and more."

In addition to the Requiem, the concerts will also feature the famous violinist, Alex Eisenberg, who will be performing Max Bruch's Violin Concerto. I can't think of a better way to spend an afternoon or evening.
