Decisions - Vowels and Vocalise

I have been preparing to perform Rachmaninoff’s Vocalise, a rather famous song he published in 1915. For those of you less familiar with this piece, there are no lyrics. The entire song is performed with any one vowel of the singer’s choosing. So which vowel should I use – A, E, I, O, U, or maybe even И or Я!
